The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to quality education with the inauguration of an ultra-modern block of classrooms at Keme Balogun Junior/Senior College, Ibeshe, Ikorodu.
The newly reconstructed school now boasts 18 new classrooms, renovated existing structures, a mini football pitch, a multi-purpose sports court, an Intro-Tech block, and a modern food canteen.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the project is designed to equip students with the tools to thrive in a globally competitive world.
“These newly renovated and constructed facilities will serve as a catalyst for change, offering our children the tools they need to compete in an increasingly globalized world.”
“By building 18 new classrooms, renovating existing structures, and adding modern amenities, we are creating an environment where our students can truly thrive academically, socially, and physically,” he stated.
The Governor further noted that the reconstruction of Keme Balogun College sends a powerful message about the state government’s investment in education and youth empowerment.
He urged parents to prioritize their children’s education and encouraged students to dream bigger with access to enhanced learning facilities.

The unveiling of these modern school facilities aligns with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus agenda, particularly in education and technology development.
