DR. KAYODE OLAIDE APPLAUDS GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU FOR INAUGURATION OF ULTRA-MODERN CLASSROOMS, SPORTS FACILITIES AT KEME BALOGUN COLLEGE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Lagos, Nigeria – Dr. Kayode Emmanuel Olaide, an educational philanthropist and indigene of Ikorodu, Lagos State, has expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for his unwavering commitment to educational development, particularly with the recent inauguration of ultra-modern classrooms and sports facilities at Keme Balogun College, Ibese.

Dr. Olaide commended the Governor on the 21st of march 2025 for his steadfast implementation of the T.H.E.M.E.S and T.H.E.M.E.S Plus agenda, which continues to drive Lagos State’s transformation across key sectors.

He described Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leadership as visionary and praised his dedication to elevating Lagos as a centre of excellence and economic prosperity.

Highlighting the inauguration of new classroom blocks and modern sports facilities at Keme Balogun College to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Dr. Olaide emphasized that the initiative is a testament to the Governor’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment for students.

He noted that the infrastructure upgrade will significantly enhance the academic and extracurricular development of students, ultimately fostering excellence in education.

“The newly inaugurated classrooms and sports facilities will not only improve the quality of education but also encourage students to thrive in a more enabling academic environment. This gesture ensures that no student is left behind in Lagos’ development agenda,” Dr. Olaide remarked.

As a prince and indigene of Ibeshe and an alumnus of Keme Balogun College, Dr. Olaide expressed personal joy over this landmark project, recalling his family’s role in the school’s establishment through his late father, Oba Adewamiri Ayokulehin Olaide, Faro I, Olubeshe of Ibese.

He recounted how, during his time as a student, an initial school construction project started by the military government remained incomplete for many years until it was finalized during Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

With Governor Sanwo-Olu now taking further steps to modernize the school, Dr. Olaide hailed this as a remarkable milestone for the institution and the Ibese community at large.

Beyond acknowledging the Governor’s contributions, Dr. Olaide also reflected on his personal efforts in promoting education.

He highlighted his initiative in 1992 when he established a free coaching center in Somolu and Kosofe LGAs for WAEC and JAMB candidates, which he ran for over 20 years before traveling abroad to further his education.

He also launched two annual scholarship schemes at Keme Balogun College in 2021, one in memory of his late father and the other in his own name, to encourage academic excellence among students.

Since the inception of these scholarships, he noted a significant improvement in students’ performances in WAEC and NECO examinations.

“I have witnessed first-hand how quality education transforms lives. With the Governor’s latest intervention in my alma mater, I am confident that the students of Keme Balogun College will have better opportunities to excel. This investment in education will have lasting benefits for generations to come,” Dr. Olaide stated.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Olaide reiterated his deep gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for prioritizing education and youth development.

He expressed optimism that the state’s commitment to educational infrastructure and sports development will continue to yield positive results for students and the entire Lagos populace.

“Your unwavering dedication to the advancement of Lagos State, particularly in education, is commendable. I sincerely appreciate your efforts and look forward to witnessing even more progress under your leadership.”

He ended his message with a heartfelt affirmation: “Èkó ò ní bàjẹ́ o! Long live Lagos! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!”
