IKORODU PECULIAR LIONS CLUB FEEDS THE HUNGRY IN COMMUNITY SUPPORT INITIATIVE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

In a heartfelt demonstration of humanitarian service, the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club organized a Feed the Hungry Project to provide meals to residents in need.

The initiative took place at Amosa Adura Gbemi Mosque, located at GSM Bus Stop, Ikorodu, where an evening meal was served to support Muslims breaking their fast.

The project was specifically executed to assist fasting Muslims during Iftar (the evening fast-breaking time), ensuring that those in need had access to a nutritious meal after a day of fasting.

The initiative aimed to alleviate hunger and promote community support, reinforcing the spirit of giving and care.

Speaking on the initiative, Lion Sanusi Aminat NLCF, the Club President, emphasized the importance of feeding the hungry as a core value of Lions Club International.

She reiterated the club’s commitment to humanitarian services, particularly in tackling food insecurity within the local community.

The event saw active participation from key members of the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club, including: Lion Akinosho David JP NLCF – Charter President; Lion Aluko Kayode NLCF – Club Service Chairperson; Lion Fuad Alapafuja NLCF; Lion Akinlolu Olaniyan NLCF; Lion Abuaja Innocent NLCF; Lion Owora Chijioke; Lion Oni Oluyemi; Lion Quadri Suliamon; and Int. Lion Kumapayi Albert.


As residents gathered at the mosque to receive meals, many expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful gesture, noting how impactful such initiatives are in addressing the challenges of daily sustenance.

The Feed the Hungry Project aligns with the Lions Club’s global mission to fight hunger and improve the well-being of individuals in need.

The Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club reaffirmed its dedication to carrying out more community-centered programs, fostering a culture of service, and ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry.

This initiative stands as a testament to the club’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian service, further strengthening the Lions’ motto: “We Serve.”
