BISHOP FESTUS OMOMAJEMU SENDS PALM SUNDAY BLESSINGS TO CHRISTIANS WORLDWIDE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Bishop Festus Olufemi Otusanya, popularly known as Omomajemu and the General Overseer of The True Covenant Church of God (TCCG), has extended heartfelt greetings to believers in Nigeria and beyond as Christians around the globe commemorate Palm Sunday.

In his message on the 13th of April 2025, Bishop Otusanya emphasized the spiritual depth of Palm Sunday, which marks the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, as recorded in all four Gospels — Matthew 21:1–11, Mark 11:1–11, Luke 19:28–44, and John 12:12–19.

He described the event as a divine fulfillment of prophecy and a powerful reminder of Jesus’ mission on earth — to bring salvation to mankind.

“The waving of palm branches and the cries of ‘Hosanna’ symbolize a recognition of Jesus as the Messiah, the King of Kings,” Bishop Otusanya said. “It is a call for us all to welcome Christ into our hearts anew, just as the people of Jerusalem welcomed Him.”

He noted that while the crowd on Palm Sunday celebrated Jesus with joy, it also marked the beginning of Holy Week — a solemn period that would lead to the crucifixion and eventual resurrection of Christ.

Bishop Otusanya urged Christians to reflect deeply on the sacrifice of Christ and to renew their commitment to living out His teachings of love, humility, forgiveness, and service.

Quoting Philippians 2:5-8, he said, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus… He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross.” He called on believers to adopt a life of humility and obedience in their walk with God.

The cleric also encouraged Christians to take the occasion as an opportunity to pray for peace in Nigeria and the world, especially in times marked by economic hardship, insecurity, and moral decline.

“Just as Jesus brought hope and salvation, we must be vessels of hope in our communities,” he added.
