The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was held on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, made the announcement in a statement issued on Sunday.
Dr. Benjamin explained that the mock examination was designed to test new innovations introduced by the Board and to provide candidates with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment.
He encouraged all candidates to check their results by sending the message “MOCKRESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number (SIM) registered for the examination.
A total of 200,115 candidates had initially expressed interest in taking part in the mock exam. However, two candidates withdrew, leaving 200,113 candidates officially registered for the examination.
Of these, 73,844 candidates were absent on the day of the exam, while 88 candidates failed the biometric verification process. As a result, 126,181 candidates successfully participated in the mock UTME.
Out of the candidates who sat for the examination, 115,735 have had their results processed and are now available for viewing. The remaining 10,446 results are still being processed and will be released shortly.
While acknowledging the delays some candidates faced during the examination, JAMB expressed its regret over the inconveniences caused.
Dr. Benjamin attributed the delays to the implementation of new features designed to enhance the overall conduct of the main UTME.
He assured candidates and parents that such challenges were anticipated and emphasized that the Board appreciated the support of all involved in facilitating a smoother process.
The mock examination, which serves as a trial version of the main UTME, has successfully achieved its goal over the years by helping candidates acclimatize to the CBT environment and addressing any operational lapses.
JAMB stated that the innovation trial has contributed to a more efficient conduct of the main UTME and provided invaluable experience for candidates.
