ODO AYANDELU KINGDOM GEARS UP FOR 2025 ERIBI FESTIVAL WITH SACRED RITES AND COMMUNAL CELEBRATION ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Preparations are in full swing for the much-anticipated 2025 Eribi Festival in Odo Ayandelu Kingdom, a cherished celebration of ancestral heritage, unity, and spiritual reverence in Lagos State.

According to INN, the festival will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2025, under the distinguished leadership of the Paramount Ruler of Odo Ayandelu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Asunmo Ganiu Aderibigbe. Key traditional rites will commence the night before, underscoring the cultural depth of the occasion.

Chief Olusoga Afeez Afolorunsho, the Balogun Eleluku of Odo Ayandelu, announced that the ancient town is fully prepared to host this year’s edition of the Eribi Festival—a sacred and symbolic event deeply woven into the fabric of the community’s identity.

As part of the traditional observances, a movement restriction will be enforced on Saturday, April 19, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., allowing sacred rituals to be carried out in a peaceful and respectful atmosphere.

Chief Afolorunsho extended heartfelt appreciation to all traditional title holders whose roles are integral to the success of the festival. These include Olumale Eluku, Jagun Eluku, Iware Eluku, Okirikiri Eluku, Alase Agba Eluku, the Olisa of Ayandelu, and all male chiefs, as well as the Iyalode of Ayandelu and female chiefs for their unwavering dedication to preserving the kingdom’s rich cultural legacy.

He also acknowledged the continued support of neighboring monarchs such as the Oba Aladeshonyin of Odo-Noforija, Oba of Ota-Ikosi, Oba of Agbowa, and Oba Gbadamosi of Araromi Oguntimehin Kingdom, applauding their commitment to inter-communal harmony and cultural solidarity.

The Baales of surrounding communities, including Baale Ade-Osho, Baale Ateere, Baale Lago, Baale Etunrenren, Baale Owode, Baale Agbangba, and Baale Iganke, were also recognized for their vital contributions.

Special commendation was given to the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Wale Raji Alomo, for his steadfast support and leadership.

As anticipation builds, the people of Odo Ayandelu are eager to welcome both indigenes and visitors to a vibrant, spiritually uplifting celebration that continues to strengthen communal bonds and uphold the kingdom’s proud traditions.
