
The Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club has donated a recycling basket to ADRAZ Delicious, situated at the Federal Low Cost Estate Gate, Ikorodu, in a sustained effort to promote environmental hygiene and sustainable waste management.
The initiative, which is part of the club’s ongoing “Keep the Environment Clean” project, was successfully executed on Thursday, 24th April 2025.
The donation underscores the club’s commitment to community service, with a particular focus on promoting eco-friendly practices and raising awareness about the importance of recycling among local residents and business owners.
Leading the charge was Lion Kayode Aluko, the Club’s Service Chairperson, who emphasized the role of environmental cleanliness in fostering a healthier and more organized society.
He noted that the club’s recycling initiative is designed to encourage responsible waste disposal, particularly of plastic bottles and other non-biodegradable materials.
Also present at the occasion were outgoing Club President, Lion Aminat Sanusi, and the incoming President, Lion Dr. Oshodi Seyi Paul, who both reiterated the club’s dedication to supporting grassroots development and environmental sustainability in Ikorodu and beyond.
“The donation of this recycling basket is not just a symbolic act but a call to action,” stated Lion Dr. Oshodi. “We are encouraging the community to actively participate in safeguarding our environment, one recyclable item at a time.”
The management of ADRAZ Delicious expressed gratitude for the gesture, affirming their commitment to utilizing the basket effectively and contributing to a cleaner Ikorodu.
Other members of the club in attendance included Lion Nuga Femi, Lion Amaechi Ukamaka, Lion Fuad Alapafuja, Lion Quadri Sulaiman, Lion Kumapayi Foluso, and Lion Oshodi Ganiyat.
