The Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club carried out a significant humanitarian gesture by donating a large waste bin, sweeping brush, and packer to the Parafa Health Center located at Parafa Bus Stop, Ikorodu, in a bid to improve sanitation and promote a healthier environment.
The impactful project was executed on the 24th of April, 2025, under the global service framework of Lions Clubs International, aimed at enhancing community health and hygiene through sustainable practices.
The sanitation support initiative was coordinated by Lion Kayode Aluko, the Club’s Service Chairperson, in collaboration with Lion Sanusi Aminat, the outgoing President, and Lion Dr. Oshodi Seyi Paul, the Incoming President of the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club.
The donation, according to the club’s representatives, is part of an ongoing effort to support public health institutions and ensure that medical facilities, especially at the grassroots level, are equipped with basic sanitary tools to maintain cleanliness and reduce the risk of infections.
Other dedicated Lions who graced the event and lent their support include:

Speaking during the presentation, Lion Kayode Aluko emphasized the club’s commitment to community service and noted that ensuring a clean healthcare environment is key to delivering effective medical care.
He urged the management of the health center to utilize the items effectively for the benefit of the community.
The health center’s representatives expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Lions Club for their thoughtful donation, acknowledging the club’s consistent support towards the upliftment of the community.
