DR. PROMISE OKAGWA SALUTES NIGERIAN WORKERS ON MAY 1ST, COMMENDS THEIR Role IN NATIONAL GROWTH ~ INN Nigeria ☆

As the world marked the International Workers’ Day on May 1st, renowned book author, agricultural expert, and investor, Dr. Promise Okagwa, joined millions of voices in celebrating the resilience, dedication, and impact of Nigerian workers across all sectors.

In a heartfelt message made available to the press, Dr. Okagwa praised the Nigerian workforce for their unwavering commitment to nation-building despite the current economic challenges.

He emphasized the indispensable role workers play in sustaining critical sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and public service.

“Today, I stand in solidarity with every hardworking Nigerian, from the tireless farmer in the rural communities to the diligent civil servant and the creative minds in our industries. Your efforts keep the engine of our country running,” Dr. Okagwa stated.

Dr. Okagwa, who is also a staunch advocate for agribusiness development and youth empowerment, particularly lauded workers in the agricultural sector. He highlighted the crucial role they play in ensuring food security and driving sustainable development.

“Without the sweat and perseverance of our agricultural workers, Nigeria’s dream of self-sufficiency in food production would remain a mirage. I salute their strength, endurance, and patriotism,” he noted.

Reflecting on his journey as an author and investor, Dr. Okagwa encouraged workers not to relent in their pursuit of excellence and innovation.

He called on the government and private sector stakeholders to prioritize workers’ welfare, fair wages, and a safe working environment.

“As we celebrate today, let us remember that a motivated workforce is the backbone of a thriving economy. We must collectively invest in improving workers’ livelihoods and protecting their rights,” he added.

The International Workers’ Day, also known as May Day, is observed globally to recognize the contributions and struggles of workers. In Nigeria, it remains a significant occasion to reflect on labour achievements and call for better conditions for the working class.
