LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT COMPLETES ERELU AMIKANLE ROAD CONSTRUCTION, TRANSFORMS AGBADO/OKE-ODO LCDA ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Agbado Oke-Odo, Lagos – May 8, 2025, The Lagos State Government has completed the construction of Erelu Amikanle Road and adjoining streets in the Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), bringing a wave of development and infrastructural renewal to the community.

Facilitated through the Lagos State Office of Rural Development, the road construction project covers Erelu Way in Amikanle, Dayo Eleku Crescent, and Adeniji Oladimeji Crescent.

The intervention is part of the Sanwo-Olu administration’s commitment to bridging the urban-rural divide by enhancing connectivity, easing mobility, and improving the quality of life in semi-urban and rural areas.

Speaking on the significance of the project, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, noted that the newly constructed roads have given the Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA a “completely new look.”

He emphasized that the initiative not only addresses the long-standing issue of poor road infrastructure in the area but also boosts socio-economic activities for residents and local businesses.

“The construction of Erelu Way, Dayo Eleku Crescent, and Adeniji Oladimeji Crescent is a deliberate step towards creating an enabling environment for development.”

“This road infrastructure will reduce travel time, improve access to markets and schools, and generally uplift the standard of living for residents,” Dr. Agbaje said.

Community leaders and residents have expressed appreciation to the state government for the timely delivery of the project.

According to them, the transformation is a relief from years of neglect and will attract more investments into the locality.

The completion of the Erelu Amikanle Road project adds to the growing list of rural development achievements under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive development across all local council development areas in Lagos State.

The Office of Rural Development continues to identify and execute projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure in less-urbanized areas, with a focus on equity, economic empowerment, and sustainable growth.
