
Ito Community, Isiu, Ikorodu North LCDA – May 16, 2025, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing 5-kilometre road grading project in the Ito community of the Isiu area under Ikorodu North LCDA.
During an inspection visit to the site, Dr. Agbaje commended the impressive pace of the construction work, noting that the initiative is in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s rural development agenda.
He emphasized the commitment of the Lagos State Government to bridging the gap between urban and rural settlements through sustained infrastructure development.
“This project is a testament to Governor Sanwo-Olu’s resolve to bring meaningful development to grassroots communities.”
“Rural development is not just a promise; it is a priority, and this road grading project is one of the many steps being taken to upgrade rural infrastructure across the state,” Dr. Agbaje stated.

Leaders of the Ito community, including the Chairman of the Community Development Association (CDA), Mr. Taiwo Dosumu and the Project Committee Chairman, Chief Monsuru Bika, also lauded the efforts of the state government. They specifically acknowledged the Office of Rural Development for bringing the dividends of democracy to their community.
“We deeply appreciate Governor Sanwo-Olu and Dr. Agbaje for remembering Ito. For years, we have yearned for road improvements, and today, we are seeing tangible results,” said Mr. Dosumu.
Chief Monsuru Bika echoed similar sentiments, adding that the project will enhance connectivity, ease transportation, and contribute to the economic and social growth of the area.
The inspection marks another milestone in the state’s ongoing commitment to rural transformation and equitable development across all Local Council Development Areas in Lagos.
