As Nigeria commemorates Children’s Day 2025, the Office of Rural Development in Lagos State has extended warm wishes and inspiring words to children in rural communities across the state.
In a message delivered by Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, the government acknowledged the resilience, potential, and importance of children in rural areas, calling them “the hope of our future and the pride of our state.”
The message, shared on May 27th in celebration of Children’s Day, emphasized the state government’s unwavering commitment to creating an enabling environment for children to thrive, particularly in rural settings.
Dr. Agbaje encouraged children to keep dreaming big, study diligently, and treat others with kindness, assuring them that the Lagos State Government remains steadfast in promoting their education, health, and general well-being.
“You are important. You are loved. And you have the power to shape a better tomorrow,” Dr. Agbaje stated, reinforcing the belief that every child deserves equal opportunities to succeed regardless of their geographical location.
