In celebration of the 2025 Children’s Day, the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club brought joy to the faces of young pupils by distributing customised gift items during the 4th edition of the Nigerian Children Arts & Cultural Festival (NACAF).
The event, held on May 30, 2025, at the Ikorodu Musical Village, was organised by the Oshodi Arts Gallery and attracted over 20 schools from across Lagos State.
The highlight of the club’s gesture was the presentation of colourful customised rubber wristbands to over 100 pupils, symbolizing love, encouragement, and the spirit of humanitarian service.
The distribution exercise was led by the club’s Charter President, Lion David Akinosho JP NLCF, who was actively supported by fellow club members.
Notably, the gift-sharing initiative was supported by Lion Dr. Oshodi Seyi Paul, founder of Oshodi Arts Gallery and the incoming President of the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club.
His dual commitment to both arts promotion and community service was reflected in the seamless collaboration between the cultural festival and the Lions Club’s humanitarian outreach.
The Children’s Day celebration at NACAF 2025 was filled with artistic performances, music, and cultural displays, but the involvement of the Lions Club added a deeper touch of care and compassion to the festivities.
The pupils expressed excitement and gratitude for the thoughtful gifts, making the day even more memorable.
Through this gesture, the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club reaffirmed its dedication to youth development and community service, embodying the global Lions International motto: “We Serve.”
