The 4th edition of the Nigerian Children Arts & Cultural Festival (NACAF) was a vibrant cultural celebration organized annually by the Oshodi Arts Gallery, held at the Ikorodu Musical Village on May 30, 2025.
The event brought together more than 20 schools from across Lagos State.
The event, which has become a hallmark of Children’s Day celebrations, featured a variety of enriching activities including match parade, dance competitions, recitations, spelling contests, and prize presentations, all aimed at fostering creativity, confidence, and cultural pride among Nigerian children.
In his address to the participants and guests, Dr. Oshodi Seyi Paul, CEO of Oshodi Arts Gallery, reaffirmed the festival’s mission to nurture young talents and provide a platform to celebrate the hidden potential in children.
“NACAF is not just about performance. It’s about discovery—giving children a voice, an audience, and the encouragement to express their gifts,” he stated.
One of the most remarkable moments of the event came from Master Aderigbigbe Daniel, a pupil of Sacred Touch Schools, who captivated attendees by constructing a mini home using cardboard paper, which he proudly presented to the organisers.
Impressed by his creativity, Dr. Oshodi announced a scholarship for Daniel to receive hands-on architectural training at Oshodi Arts Gallery to further hone his skills.

The proud Proprietress of Sacred Touch Schools, Mrs. Babington Agnes praised the initiative:
“This platform brings out talents that schools alone may not uncover. I truly commend the organisers for this life-transforming event.”
In a message of encouragement, Dr. Kirti Sudhaushu, founder of the KIRTIS KARE Foundation Asia Africa, applauded the festival’s role in empowering young minds through culture and creativity.
“Oshodi Arts Gallery is doing phenomenal work. I urge them to continue this mission of shaping futures through arts and culture,” she said.
All participating schools received certificates of participation, acknowledging their effort and contribution to the success of the event.
The children were also treated to a surprise performance by a gorilla dance clown, adding a fun and playful end to a highly impactful day.
Now, in its 4th edition, NACAF continues to grow as a national cultural platform for children, combining the celebration of heritage with the discovery of tomorrow’s inventors, artists, and leaders.
As Dr. Oshodi aptly put it,
“When we catch them young, we prepare them to lead with purpose.”
