As part of his administration’s commitment to educational advancement and youth empowerment, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina, has officially opened the application process for the 2025 Bursary Award Scheme targeted at indigent and deserving students of Ikorodu origin in tertiary institutions.
The bursary programme, a consistent initiative under Hon. Adesina’s leadership, aims to alleviate the financial challenges faced by students and support their academic pursuits through monetary assistance.
In an official announcement from the Council, the Chairman urged all eligible students currently enrolled in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other recognized higher institutions to take advantage of the opportunity and apply.
Interested applicants are directed to obtain the bursary application forms at the Department of Education, Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat. The application window will close on Friday, June 27, 2025, and late submissions will not be entertained.
Hon. Wasiu Adesina reaffirmed his dedication to promoting inclusive education and human capital development in Ikorodu, stating that the bursary scheme represents his administration’s resolve to ensure that no student is left behind due to financial constraints.
