Ikorodu, Lagos – June 2025, As the local government elections approach, the Leader of the Legislative Chamber in Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Adebowale Adebola Ajayi, fondly known as AJ, has issued a rallying call to all members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to mobilize en masse and vote for the party’s candidates, Prince Adebayo Abayomi Ladega and Hon. Babawale Alogba, for the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, respectively.
In a public statement made ahead of the highly anticipated polls, Hon. Ajayi described the duo of Ladega and Alogba as a symbol of “prosperity for all,” emphasizing their capacity, credibility, and track record of service to the Ikorodu community.
“Now is the time for all APC loyalists to come together in unity and purpose,” Hon. Ajayi declared. “Prince Abayomi Ladega and Hon. Babawale Alogba represents the future we desire—leaders with vision, compassion, and a strong commitment to inclusive development. Voting for them is voting for progress and prosperity in Ikorodu.”
He further stated: “Prince Ladega’s extensive leadership experience, deep-rooted community ties, and strategic vision make him well-positioned to deliver impactful governance.”
“Alongside him, Hon. Babawale Alogba brings his unmatched grassroots connection, administrative acumen, and passion for youth and community development to the table.”
“Together, they form a formidable team with the capacity to usher in a new era of growth and inclusion across Ikorodu Local Government,” he added.
In addition, Hon. Adebowale Ajayi seized the opportunity to urge all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu to rally behind the party’s councillorship candidates across the seven wards of the local government.
He emphasized the importance of grassroots representation and encouraged party faithful to ensure victory at the ward level as a foundation for effective governance.
The councillorship candidates include Hon. Shokunbi Idris Olaniyi (Ward A), Hon. Fatuga Mutiat Orelesi (Ward B), Hon. Safari Murisiku A. (Ward C), Hon. Sotomiwa Wasiu B. (Ward D), Hon. Egbetokun Lateefat (Ward E), Hon. Buraimoh Oluwakemi A. (Ward F), and Hon. Buraimoh Oluwakemi (Ward G). Hon. Ajayi described the candidates as competent, committed, and deeply connected to their communities, urging voters to support them for a united and development-driven Ikorodu.
