As the All Progressives Congress (APC) officially flagged off its 2025 election campaign in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Abimbola Taiwo Owomilowomi, the serving Councillor representing Ward E and Majority Leader of the Ikorodu West Legislative Council, has passionately urged party loyalists to rally behind the full slate of APC candidates across the LCDA.
Addressing a crowd of enthusiastic supporters during the flag-off ceremony on the 25th of June 2025, Hon. Owomilowomi emphasized the importance of unity and loyalty within the party structure, noting that the future development of Ikorodu West hinges on electing capable and committed leaders under the APC platform.
He specifically called on residents to cast their votes for Otunba Olarenwaju Sulaimon (SKO) as the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA and Hon. Segun Aluko as the Vice Chairman.
According to Hon. Owomilowomi, SKO represents “The New Face of Ikorodu West,” and embodies the vision, competence, and integrity needed to take the LCDA to greater heights.
In a show of camaraderie and commitment to collective progress, the Majority Leader also declared his full support for his fellow councillorship candidates, describing them as grassroots leaders who have demonstrated unwavering dedication to community development.
Hon. Owomilowomi endorsed his fellow councillorship candidates, including Enitan Jessica Oba for Ward A (Ipakodo), Hon. (Lion) Batife Daisi E. for Ward B (Majidun), Anifowoshe Ganiyu O. for Ward C (Owutu), Lion Dare Adeleke Okuyelu for Ward D (Ajaguro), and himself, Hon. Taiwo Abimbola Samuel (Owomilowomi) for Ward E (Isawo).
He described the candidates as competent, service-driven individuals fully prepared to deliver people-oriented governance at the grassroots level.
“Our great party, the APC, has carefully selected these capable individuals to represent the people at the grassroots. I am calling on all eligible voters to come out en masse and vote for progress, stability, and responsible governance,” Hon. Owomilowomi said.
The local government election is officially scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 12th, 2025.
With political activities gaining momentum, the APC appears poised to consolidate its dominance in Ikorodu West LCDA through strategic grassroots mobilization and cohesive party structures.
