HON. WASIU ADESINA GIFTS OFFICIAL CARS TO IKORODU IYA-OLOJA GENERAL AND COUNCIL MANAGER IN FAREWELL LEGACY DRIVE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

As part of a week-long project commissioning scheme marking the final days of his administration, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, presented official car gifts to Deaconess Busola Isikalu, the Iya-Oloja General of Ikorodu Division, and Mr. Johnson-Agiri Adekunle, the Council Manager of Ikorodu Local Government.

The car presentation ceremony took place at the council secretariat in Ikorodu.

The Chairman explained that the gesture was in line with his administration’s commitment to uplifting key offices and ensuring continued growth in governance, trade, and administrative efficiency within the council.

“This support is part of my ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept’ initiative. It is my way of giving back and showing appreciation to those playing vital roles in our local economy and administration.”

“The Iya-Oloja General oversees market affairs across the division, and her office deserves the support needed to function at a high standard.”

“Mr. Johnson-Agiri Adekunle, too, has proven his worth in a short time and deserves commendation,” Hon. Adesina stated.

The car gifts are one of several highlights of a week-long legacy project commissioning scheme initiated by the Chairman as he prepares to leave office.

The series began with the commissioning of the Jeitan Ultra-Modern Mini Market at Ota Ona along Obafemi Awolowo Road in Ikorodu.

This was followed by the commissioning of the 346-metre Adekayaoja-Solomade Road project, performed by His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom.

The car presentation now adds to the chairman’s concluding chapter of impact and fulfillment of electoral promises.

Hon. Adesina used the occasion to rally market stakeholders in Ikorodu to intensify their political participation as the July 12th Local Government elections approach.

“Our market men and women have always stood by this administration. Now is the time to do even more.”

“Support the incoming administration, which by God’s grace will be led by our APC candidate, Prince Adebayo Abayomi Ladega.”

“Let us preserve and build upon the standards we’ve set together,” he urged.

Vice Chairman, Aarebirin Hon. (Dr.) Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba praised the Chairman’s dedication to growth and inclusive governance.

“In wisdom, God has made this day possible. I celebrate my Chairman for the vision and results we’ve recorded during this tenure, and I thank our leaders for giving us the platform to serve,” she said.

Mr. Johnson-Agiri Adekunle, the Council Manager, while receiving his official car, described Hon. Adesina, as a committed leader, setting a new benchmark in service delivery and staff recognition.

“At a time when campaigns are heating up, the Chairman is still focused on development. This week-long commissioning scheme is unprecedented.”

“Though I was recently transferred here and initially expected to go to Epe, my short time in Ikorodu has been incredibly rewarding.”

“I appreciate the Chairman’s support and the cooperation of all staff. Ikorodu is truly blessed with beautiful and caring people,” he stated.

On her part, Deaconess Busola Isikalu, the Iya-Oloja General of Ikorodu Division, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition given to her office.

“This car gift is not just symbolic, it is functional. It will enhance my mobility and make my responsibilities across the markets easier.”

“I thank our Executive Chairman for consistently supporting the market sector. I pray that he continues to walk the path of success in all future endeavours,” she said.

The double presentation of official vehicles reflects Hon. Wasiu Adesina’s legacy of inclusive governance, institutional development, and market empowerment cementing his name among Ikorodu’s most impactful council chairmen as his administration draws to a close.
