As the curtains fall on the campaign season ahead of the highly anticipated Local Government Elections scheduled for July 12, the Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, has expressed deep appreciation to the people of Ijede for their unwavering support and solidarity throughout the campaign trail.

In an official statement titled “Thank You, Ijede. Together We Can Do More,” the chairman, who is also seeking re-election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), acknowledged the overwhelming love and encouragement from the grassroots, party faithful, stakeholders, and community leaders.

She described their commitment as the driving force behind her journey of service and development in Ijede LCDA.

“I want to sincerely thank the good people of Ijede LCDA, the leadership of our great party, the APC Ijede, our community leaders, stakeholders, and the Local Organizing Committee for the massive support during our just-concluded Campaign Rally. Your belief in our shared vision has brought us this far, and I remain confident that, with you by my side, we can do even more,” Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba stated.

She extended special appreciation to the apex leaders across Ikorodu Division for their steadfast backing and mentorship.

Notably, she praised the pivotal support of Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, and Representative Babajimi Benson (MHR), whom she described as vital pillars in her journey of governance.

“My gratitude also goes to my brother, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), whose presence and consistency throughout the campaign have been inspiring. Your collective leadership has laid a firm foundation for the progress we seek,” she added.

Looking ahead to the July 12 polls, the council boss issued a passionate call to the residents of Ijede and the wider Ikorodu Division to participate actively in the democratic process by voting massively for APC candidates.

She emphasized that continuity is key to sustaining and expanding the developmental strides already in motion.

“As we approach the election, I humbly appeal to every resident to come out in large numbers and cast their votes for APC. This election is about consolidating the progress we’ve made together and charting new paths for growth and inclusion,” she urged.

Reiterating her commitment to service, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba pledged to uphold transparency, vision-driven leadership, and integrity if given the mandate to serve again.

“We have come this far together, and now more than ever, we must finish strong. I pledge to continue serving with clarity of purpose, honesty, and total dedication to the well-being of every resident in Ijede,” she concluded.

As Ijede prepares to go to the polls, the message is clear: the people remain central to the progress of the LCDA, and with collective effort, the future holds even greater promise.
