Ikorodu, Lagos | July 25, 2025 — As the tenure of Hon. Wasiu Adesina, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, comes to a close after eight impactful years, accolades continue to pour in from stakeholders across the political landscape.
One of the most striking commendations came from Alhaji Yusuf Olarewaju, the Ikorodu LGA Organising Secretary and Justice Forum Leader in Agura Iponmi Ward.
Speaking exclusively to Ikorodu News Network (INN) during the commissioning of the newly constructed Ikorodu Legislative Chamber on July 25, 2025 — a project officially commissioned by Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru — Alhaji Olarewaju praised Hon. Adesina’s tenure as one marked by visible transformation, administrative maturity, and progressive community impact.
“Adesina has done marvellously well. His name will be remembered for greatness in Ikorodu. The developments we have witnessed during his administration speak volumes. He has left a legacy,” Alhaji Olarewaju stated.
He further emphasized that Hon. Adesina’s accomplishments have gone beyond political recognition, capturing the admiration and gratitude of Ikorodu residents at large.
“It is not just about political leaders being proud of him — the people of Ikorodu have seen and felt the change. They are impressed, and history will hold him in high regard,” he added.
Hon. Wasiu Adesina’s administration is credited with several community development projects ranging from road rehabilitation, health care improvement, educational support, to public infrastructure development, including the recently unveiled legislative chamber — a symbol of enhanced democratic governance at the grassroots.
As the curtain falls on his administration, voices like that of Alhaji Yusuf Olarewaju echo the sentiments of many: that Ikorodu will not forget Hon. Wasiu Adesina in a hurry.
