Ilara-Epe, Lagos State — The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Alayeluwa Dr. Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV, celebrated his fifth coronation anniversary on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with tributes pouring in from dignitaries and well-wishers across Lagos State.
Among those who honoured the milestone was Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, the immediate past Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government and the Global Director General of the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement.
In her goodwill message, she extolled the monarch’s leadership and his positive influence over the past five years.
“Today we celebrate a distinguished and visionary King whose reign has been marked by wisdom, progress, and dedication to his people.”
“His Majesty has combined deep knowledge and global exposure with cultural pride to bring meaningful development to Ilara and beyond,” Princess Olabanji-Oba said.
Since ascending the throne in 2020 as the 55th Alara of Ilara, Oba Ogunsanwo has earned wide recognition for his contributions to infrastructure, education, and youth empowerment, while also playing an active role in cultural preservation and governance discourse at both state and national levels.
Princess Olabanji-Oba also prayed for continued divine strength and longevity for the monarch.
“Kabiyesi’s reign has been nothing short of impactful. We ask God to grant him more years of good health and greater accomplishments for the benefit of his people,” she added.
