
Education in Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) is set for another boost as the Mayoress, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, has unveiled her annual program of distributing free General Certificate Examination (GCE) forms to residents.
The initiative, which has consistently provided opportunities for young people in the council area, is part of the Mayoress’ ongoing efforts to ease the financial challenges facing families while encouraging students to pursue their academic dreams.
According to the announcement, interested applicants must complete their registration on or before Saturday, 23rd August 2025, between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.
To qualify, applicants are required to present the following documents: National Identification Number (NIN), Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA) card, and one recent passport photograph.

Princess Bada, who holds multiple traditional titles including Queen Mother, Yeyesewa of Ilara Kingdom, Yeyeoge of Ijanikin Land, and Oluomo of Kosofeland, explained that the scheme is aimed at building brighter futures for young people in Ikosi Isheri LCDA.
She noted that education remains the foundation for development and assured that her administration would continue to prioritize youth-oriented initiatives.
Over the years, the free GCE form distribution has benefitted hundreds of students within the LCDA, earning the Mayoress praise for her dedication to human capacity development.
Many residents have described the scheme as a life-changing intervention, particularly for households unable to meet the cost of examination registration.
