Aarebirin Hon. Princess Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba has extended a warm welcome to pupils, students, teachers, parents and education stakeholders across Ikorodu and Lagos State as the 2025/2026 academic year begins.
“Education remains the key that unlocks every child’s future. With courage, discipline and joy, we build tomorrow’s leaders,” Olabanji-Oba said in a statement issued to mark the resumption of schools.
The former council vice-chairperson described the new school year as “a fresh opportunity to dream, to learn and to achieve,” encouraging students to approach their studies with seriousness and optimism.
“Every step in learning is a step toward a brighter future,” she added.
Olabanji-Oba praised teachers for their “tireless dedication to shaping lives and destinies,” urging them to continue mentoring with passion and purpose.
She also commended parents and guardians, noting that their support and collaboration with schools form the foundation for children’s success.
Calling for unity and resilience, she expressed hope that the session would bring growth, success and remarkable achievements for all. “Let us embrace this new academic year with a shared commitment to excellence,” she said.
