LIONS CLUB COMMEMORATES WORLD CLEAN-UP DAY 2025 WITH WASTE-TO-WEALTH AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP DRIVE ~ INN Nigeria ☆


The Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club, District 404A3 Nigeria, recently joined the global community in marking World Clean-Up Day with an inspiring programme that combined environmental action with economic empowerment.

Club president Lion Oshodi Seyi Paul led members in a hands-on clean-up of the Oshodi Arts Gallery environment, emphasizing that the event reflected the Lions’ enduring passion for service.

He explained that the day’s activities were designed not only to rid the community of waste but also to teach people how discarded materials can be turned into valuable resources.

The initiative carried a strong “Waste to Wealth” message, encouraging participants to view recycling as both an environmental necessity and an economic opportunity.

Throughout the exercise, members of the club engaged the public in an awareness campaign on proper waste management and the broader benefits of environmental conservation.

The approach underscored the belief that protecting the environment and improving livelihoods can go hand in hand.

The exercise showcased the unity and dedication of the club’s membership.

Among those present were Lion Nuga Femi, Lion Aminat Sanusi, Lion Abuaja Innocent, Lion Quadri Oladimeji, Lion Aluko Kayode, Lion Alapufuja Fuad, Lion Akinlolu Olaniyan, Lion Amaechi Amaka, Lion Agunbiade Victor, Lion Ganiyat Oshodi, and Intending Lion Chukwudi Ogbonna.

Together they worked to beautify the surroundings, interact with residents, and share knowledge that could spark new economic ventures.

Community members praised the initiative for its immediate impact on the environment and its potential to create long-term economic benefits.

Through this World Clean-Up Day effort, the club once again demonstrated its commitment to service, sustainability, and the empowerment of local residents.
