NIGERIA @65: DR. AGBAJE EXTOLS LAGOSIANS IN RURAL COMMUNITIES ON INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, has extended warm felicitations to Lagosians, particularly residents of rural communities, on the occasion of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day anniversary.

In his goodwill message on October 1st 2025, Dr. Agbaje congratulated Nigerians for sustaining the nation’s unity despite the challenges faced over the years.

He emphasized that independence is a reminder of the struggles, resilience, and sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers and a call for every citizen to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the country.

Highlighting the significance of rural communities to the economic and social development of Lagos State, the Special Adviser reiterated the Sanwo-Olu administration’s commitment to ensuring that people in rural areas benefit from the dividends of democracy.

He noted that ongoing projects in rural electrification, road rehabilitation, potable water supply, and community empowerment reflect the government’s determination to uplift the quality of life for rural dwellers.

“As we mark Nigeria’s 65th independence anniversary, it is important to celebrate not only our national identity but also the spirit of unity and resilience that defines us as Lagosians.”

“The rural communities of our state remain critical to our collective progress, and this government will continue to prioritize their development,” Dr. Agbaje stated.

He urged Lagosians in rural and urban areas alike to remain steadfast, united, and hopeful for a brighter future, assuring them of the state government’s continued commitment to inclusive development.

Dr. Agbaje also called on youths in rural communities to embrace government empowerment initiatives and make productive use of the opportunities created by the state, stressing that the future of the nation lies in their hands.

The Special Adviser concluded by wishing all Lagosians a joyous Independence Day filled with peace, progress, and renewed patriotism.
