
Lagos State Government has boosted access to clean and portable water in Ojokoro-Togejoye Community in Ikorodu West LCDA with the delivery of a water scheme project, equipped with a standby generator to ensure uninterrupted supply.
The project was officially handed over to the community development association (CDA) executives on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Speaking at the handover, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Rural Development, explained that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improving the welfare of grassroots communities.
“This water scheme will ease the stress of accessing clean water for families in Ojokoro-Togejoye.”
“The government also provided a new generator so that, even in the event of power outages, residents can still enjoy uninterrupted water supply,” Dr. Agbaje stated.
Community leaders expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government for the intervention.

The Chairman of Ojokoro-Togejoye CDA, Mr. Moses Olutobi Obasanya, commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for prioritizing the needs of the people.
“This project is a huge relief for our community. Water is life, and with this facility, our residents will have better access to clean water for domestic use. We sincerely appreciate the Governor and his team for this laudable support,” Obasanya said.
Other CDA executives present at the handover included Alhaji Mudashiru Oladepo, Treasurer; Mr. Adebola Quadri, Vice Chairman; Alhaji Adefowope Mudashiru, Financial Secretary; Alhaja Lamina Robiat, Member; Mr. Ayo-Adewole Akinbode, Member; and Mr. Ahmed Odehinde, Member.
The water scheme is expected to significantly reduce reliance on unsafe water sources and improve the overall standard of living in Ojokoro-Togejoye.
