In commemoration of the 2025 World Teachers’ Day, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Prince Adedayo Ladega, has saluted the unwavering dedication, resilience, and invaluable contributions of teachers to nation-building and community development.
In a message released on October 5th, 2025, Hon. Ladega described teachers as the “silent architects of progress” whose influence transcends classroom walls and shapes the moral and intellectual foundation of generations.
“A teacher’s impact extends far beyond the classroom; it is etched in the character of the students they raise and the future they help define. In every community, teachers remain the silent architects of progress,” he stated.
Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to education as a core pillar of the S.E.E.D Agenda (Social Welfare, Education, Economic Growth, and Development), Hon. Ladega emphasized ongoing and future efforts to enhance the teaching and learning environment across Ikorodu.
He highlighted that the council has been actively working on infrastructure upgrades, teacher support programmes, and initiatives aimed at strengthening educational standards from the grassroots.
“Under our administration’s S.E.E.D Agenda, with Education as a core priority, we are taking concrete steps to improve teaching and learning conditions across Ikorodu. We believe that when teachers are empowered, students thrive, and communities grow stronger,” the Chairman reiterated.
Hon. Ladega extended heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the people of Ikorodu to all teachers, commending their commitment, patience, and passion for shaping the minds of the future generation.
He recognized their tireless service as indispensable to the development of society.
“Your role is not just important, it is indispensable. Thank you for your service, your resilience, and your enduring impact. Together, we will continue to build a future rooted in knowledge, character, and opportunity for all,” he concluded.
