The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, has extended warm felicitations to Senator Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, former Minister for Works and revered Apex Leader in Ikorodu Division, as he marks his 82nd birthday.

In a congratulatory message, Dr. Agbaje described Senator Ogunlewe as “a distinguished statesman whose exemplary leadership, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to public service continue to inspire generations across Lagos State and Nigeria at large.”

Senator Ogunlewe, a prominent member of the Lagos Governance Advisory Council (GAC), has remained a towering figure in the socio-political development of Ikorodu Division.

His decades-long impact spans governance, infrastructure advocacy, mentorship, and a deep-rooted passion for empowering young people.

Dr. Agbaje particularly highlighted Senator Ogunlewe’s lifelong dedication to education, noting that it remains one of the most significant pillars of his contributions to Ikorodu Division.

“His passion for education and human capital development has opened doors of opportunity for countless youths,” he said.

“Senator Ogunlewe has consistently championed initiatives that foster educational advancement, believing strongly that knowledge is the foundation of sustainable development.”

As a former Minister for Works of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ogunlewe is widely celebrated for his national service and his relentless advocacy for improved infrastructure across Lagos State.

However, within Ikorodu Division, his legacy extends far beyond public office—it reflects a life dedicated to community building, supporting institutions, and nurturing future leaders.

Dr. Agbaje prayed for continued good health, strength, and wisdom for the elder statesman, describing him as “a beacon of leadership whose influence will remain evergreen in the history of Lagos State.”

He concluded by reaffirming the Lagos State Government’s admiration for Senator Ogunlewe’s steadfast contributions to governance and community upliftment, especially in education and youth development.

“On this special occasion, we celebrate not just a birthday, but a lifetime of impact,” Dr. Agbaje said. “Senator Ogunlewe at 82 remains a symbol of purposeful leadership, integrity, and service to humanity.”
