LAGOS – Lagos State marked a historic moment with the maiden edition of the Lagos State Community Development Advisory Council (LSCDAC) Merit Awards, LSCDAC Merit 2025, held at the Adeyemi Bero Hall, Alausa, Ikeja.

The ceremony recognized outstanding leaders at the grassroots level who have made significant contributions to community development.

Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, described the awards as a platform to honor commitment and dedication while motivating community leaders to achieve even more in driving local development.

“The LSCDAC Merit 2025 is meant to appreciate the efforts of leaders at the grassroots level and to encourage them to do more,” Dr. Agbaje said, underscoring the Lagos State Government’s dedication to community-driven progress.

A total of 25 distinguished personalities were honored at the maiden edition, highlighting their remarkable contributions to societal development.

The Council’s motto, “Striving for Development,” reflects its commitment to promoting excellence and accountability among community leaders.

The awards ceremony, attended by government officials, stakeholders, and community representatives, was hailed as a significant initiative that not only acknowledges achievements but also sets benchmarks for effective grassroots leadership in Lagos State.
