PRINCE KAYODE INSTITUTES SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME, HONOURS DIGNITARIES AT IBESHE DAY CELEBRATION ~ INN

Ibeshe community witnessed a major boost to education and community development as Prince Kayode rolled out scholarships for outstanding and indigent students during the Ibeshe Day celebration, while also honouring prominent personalities for their contributions to the growth of the town in honour of Oba Adewamiri Ayokunlehin Olaide 1st king of Ibeshe.

The highlight of the event was the official inauguration and incorporation of the Oba Adewamiri Ayokunle Olaide Memorial Scholarship Scheme into the annual Ibeshe Day festival, making it a permanent feature aimed at encouraging academic excellence and supporting vulnerable students within the community.

Prince Kayodethe founder of Oba Adewamiri Ayokunle Olaide Memorial Scholarship Scheme described education as the backbone of sustainable community development, stressing that the scholarship scheme was designed to reward excellence, motivate students, and ease the burden on parents.

He expressed appreciation to traditional rulers, community leaders, and stakeholders for their commitment to the progress of Ibeshe.

As part of the celebration, awards of recognition were presented to distinguished personalities for what Prince Kayode described as their “well-done service to the Ibeshe community.”

The awardees included:
HRM Oba Richard Ogunsanya, the Oba of Ibeshe, Chief Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR ikorodu federal constituency, Mr Dauda Olatunde Olagoke Immediate former Principal Keme Balogun Senior School

The event also recorded strong participation from the education sector, with principals and head teachers from various schools in attendance.

Among them were Mrs. Abiona Bolanle Rachael, Principal, Keme Balogun Junior School; Mr. Ajuwonla Malik, Principal, Keme Balogun Senior School; Mrs. Oyeyemi M. F, Head Teacher, Owode Primary School, Ibelefun; Mrs. Oyetoye F. T, Head Teacher, Methodist Primary School, Ibeshe; and Mr. Osundina Tunde, representing Ibelefun Junior School.

Scholarships and academic awards were presented to best-performing pupils and students across primary, junior secondary, and senior secondary levels from schools including Owode Primary School Ibelefun, Ibelefun Junior School, Keme Balogun Junior College Ibeshe Ikorodu, Keme Balogun Senior College, and Methodist Primary School Ibeshe.

In addition, indigent students—including Mustapha Eniola, Owopetu Oluwafemilore, Andu-Maotu Etta, Morouf Opeyemi, Memud Adiat Arike, Francis Maria, Olusegun Basanya, Isaac Rebecca, Oluwaferanmi Hasan, Adebayo Blessing, Simiat Isiaka, and Ogundeji Olamilekan—also benefited from the gesture.

Mrs. Oyeyemi M. F of Owode Primary School Ibelefun and Mrs. Oyetoye F. T of Methodist Primary School Ibeshe thanked Prince Kayode for his continuous support for education and community development, praying for greater heights for him. “May you continue to grow higher, in Jesus’ name,” they said.

Some of the beneficiaries, including Adedeji Araoluwaleyii Praise of Keme Balogun Junior School and Bakare Taofikat of Methodist Primary School Ibeshe, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Prince Kayode, describing the scholarship as a strong motivation to work harder academically.

The inauguration of the scholarship scheme as part of the annual Ibeshe Day celebration was widely applauded by community members, who noted that the initiative would leave a lasting legacy by nurturing future leaders and strengthening the educational foundation of Ibeshe.
