
Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has commenced an extensive grading of major roads as part of ongoing efforts to improve mobility and ease transportation challenges within the council area.
The road rehabilitation exercise began on Saturday, December 20, 2025, focusing on the restoration of key internal roads to enhance connectivity across communities.
The project kicked off with the grading of the Igbe Ogunro–Igbe Oloja Road in Ward C, alongside several other strategic routes identified for urgent intervention.
During an inspection of the ongoing works, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Femi Kabir, described the initiative as a timely and people-focused intervention that would significantly improve daily commuting and reduce transportation difficulties faced by residents.
The Council Management Engineer explained that the grading exercise is aimed at eliminating potholes and uneven surfaces, noting that the intervention will enhance road safety and ensure smoother movement for motorists and other road users.
