HON. WASIU ADESINA PROVIDES BOREHOLE FOR MULERUWA FAMILY COMPOUND ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Former Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Central Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, has extended his community development efforts with the donation of a borehole water facility to the Muleruwa family in Ikorodu, reaffirming his dedication to grassroots-oriented interventions.

The water project was officially commissioned on Monday, December 23, 2025, at the Muleruwa family compound, drawing a gathering of community stakeholders, traditional and religious leaders, family members, and residents of the area.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Adesina described the borehole project as a personal gesture of appreciation to the community that shaped his upbringing and political journey.

He noted that the Muleruwa axis holds deep significance in his life, making it important for him to contribute directly to its welfare.

“This is my own way of giving back to my people because this community produced me,” Adeshina said.

“While in office, our administration focused on road construction, drainage development, and several people-centered projects.

Borehole facilities were provided across the wards in Ikorodu Central, and I felt it was necessary to also extend this benefit to my family compound.”

He stressed that access to clean and safe water remains a vital element of public health and sustainable community development, adding that inclusive development was a core principle of his administration.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by several notable personalities, including the Secretary of the Muleruwa Family, Mr. Olayinka Kamoru Abiodun; the Olótù Ẹbí of Muleruwa, Chief Rilliwan Anipole; the Olórí Ẹbí and Chief Imam of Oriwu Central Mosque, Sheikh Yahya Oshoala Samadani; former Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Lateef Afinni; and the Ikorodu Division Woman Leader, Alhaja Rasheedat Bello.

In his remarks, Sheikh Yahya Oshoala Samadani praised Hon. Adesina for remaining connected to his roots and supporting his family and community.

He encouraged the former council chairman to sustain his philanthropic efforts, noting that such initiatives have lasting social value. The cleric also offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance in Adeshina’s future endeavors.

On behalf of the family, Mr. Oduwole Akeem Ainaowa expressed heartfelt appreciation for the donation, describing it as a meaningful and impactful gesture.

He prayed for continued progress in Hon. Adeshina’s political and personal life, while also calling on family members to maintain unity and ensure proper care of the borehole to guarantee long-term benefits.

Similarly, Mrs. Taiwo Adeola commended the former council chairman, stating that the borehole would significantly reduce the challenge of water scarcity and improve the living conditions of residents within the compound.

‎In recognition of his continuous support and commitment to the Muleruwa family, the family also presented an award of appreciation to Hon. Wasiu Adeshina during the event. The award was formally presented by Sheikh Yahya Oshoala Samadani, who described Hon. Adeshina as a worthy son of the soil whose contributions to family and community development remain commendable and impactful.

‎In his response, Hon. Wasiu Adeshina expressed gratitude to the Muleruwa family for the honour and reaffirmed his bond with the family. He further pledged a financial support of ₦120,000 to the family as part of his continued effort to support unity, welfare, and development within the family, assuring them of his readiness to always contribute to initiatives that promote collective progress and wellbeing.

The borehole commissioning further highlights Hon. Wasiu Adesina’s people-focused leadership style, underscoring his ongoing commitment to supporting essential services and development initiatives that directly improve the lives of families and communities in Ikorodu Central.
