IJEDE LCDA OPENS 2026 WITH THANKSGIVING PRAYERS, CELEBRATES JANUARY-BORN STAFF ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Monday, January 5, 2026, formally commenced its official activities for the year with a thanksgiving prayer session combined with the January staff birthday celebration.

The event, held at the Council Secretariat Hall within the council premises, brought together members of the Executive and Legislative arms, top management officials, and staff across departments.

The interfaith prayer session featured both Christian and Muslim supplications, offering gratitude for the achievements of 2025 while seeking divine guidance, peace, and progress for the council and its workforce in 2026.

Addressing staff after the prayers, the Head of Administration, Mrs. Oluwakemi Ayodele Michael, praised employees for their commitment, teamwork, and resilience, which she said contributed significantly to the council’s effective operations in the previous year.

She urged staff to build on the existing momentum by demonstrating greater professionalism, dedication, and a positive work ethic in the new year.

Mrs. Michael also reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to staff welfare, stressing that the Executive Chairman remains attentive to workers’ needs and welfare-related concerns.

She reminded staff that increased support from the administration comes with higher expectations, calling for improved efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.

In his remarks, the Head of Human Resources and Administration (HRO), Mr. Apanisile Jamal, emphasized the importance of punctuality, discipline, and adherence to workplace ethics.

He assured staff of management’s continued commitment to welfare matters and constructive engagement with employees’ requests, in line with established administrative procedures.

The programme concluded with a special celebration in honour of staff members celebrating their birthdays in January, an initiative aimed at promoting unity, morale, and a sense of belonging within the council workforce.
