
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ikorodu North Community Development Committee (CDC), held on 27th January 2026 at the Ikorodu Musical Village, recognized Ito Community for its outstanding contributions to grassroots development.
The prestigious award was presented by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Olawale Ameen Apanishile, in acknowledgment of the community’s sustained efforts in fostering local development, enhancing social cohesion, and supporting programmes that improve the welfare of residents.
Receiving the award on behalf of the community, Mr. Oladipupo A. Aina, JP, expressed gratitude to the Ikorodu North LCDA leadership for the recognition.
He reiterated the community’s commitment to continuous improvement and active participation in local development initiatives.
Mayor Apanishile commended Ito Community for setting a benchmark in grassroots mobilisation and urged other communities within the LCDA to emulate their dedication to development projects and citizen engagement.
The event, which brought together community leaders, stakeholders, and residents, also featured discussions on future development plans, emphasizing sustainable growth, infrastructure enhancement, and inclusive participation in local governance.
