INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: PRINCESS FOLASHADE-OBA CELEBRATES WOMEN’S STRENGTH, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO GRASSROOTS EMPOWERMENT ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Prominent women leader and grassroots mobilizer, Aarebirin Princess (Dr.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has joined millions around the globe to commemorate the International Women’s Day, celebrating the resilience, strength, and leadership of women across Nigeria and beyond.

In a goodwill message issued on Sunday, the Global Director General of the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM) described women as vital pillars of national development whose contributions continue to shape communities and drive progress.

Princess Olabanji-Oba emphasized her unwavering commitment to empowering women at the grassroots level, strengthening engagement among women, and amplifying their voices in leadership, governance, and community development.

According to her, women must continue to be mobilized and encouraged to participate actively in political and social processes, noting that inclusive leadership remains essential for national growth.

“Today, on International Women’s Day, I celebrate the strength, resilience, and leadership of women across our nation. I will continue to demonstrate commitment to empowering women, strengthening grassroots engagement, and amplifying the voices of women in leadership and community development,” she stated.

The respected community leader further highlighted the significance of creating opportunities for women to thrive, stressing that societies flourish when women are given the platform to lead and contribute meaningfully.

She noted that her efforts through initiatives such as the Grow Ikorodu Movement and the Shelter of Grace Foundation have been focused on community empowerment, women mobilization, and social development.

Princess Olabanji-Oba also used the occasion to celebrate women who continue to make impactful contributions in various sectors, urging them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence and service to humanity.

“Happy International Women’s Day to all the remarkable women making a difference every day in the world,” she added.

The renowned philanthropist, who also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria Veterans Council (ALGONVC), concluded her message with a note of optimism about Nigeria’s future, expressing hope for continued progress and development, particularly in communities such as Ikorodu in Lagos.

Princess Olabanji-Oba holds several prestigious traditional titles including Aare Bobashelu of Orile Agege, Aare Gbobaniyi Oro, Aare Yeye Taiyese, Aare Arewa Odua, Aare Yeye Wura Ijesha, and Aare Yeye Omoluabi Agbaiye, reflecting her wide recognition for service, leadership, and community development.

She concluded her message with a call for unity, hope, and continued commitment to nation-building, reaffirming that with strengthened support for women, communities will continue to prosper and Nigeria will rise stronger.
