
The Principal of Isiu Senior Grammar School, Mrs. Adebunmi Victoria Yemisi, has commended the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for facilitating the delivery of a brand new electricity transformer to Omigo Community in Isiu, within Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area.
Mrs. Yemisi gave the commendation on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, on behalf of the management and students of Isiu Senior Grammar School.
She explained that the transformer installed at Omigo CDA Phase One and Omigo Onafoniyin Phase Two would significantly improve electricity supply within the community.
According to the principal, the improved power supply will enhance the learning environment for students, as stable electricity remains essential for effective teaching and academic activities.
She noted that the presence of reliable electricity would support educational tools and other learning resources that depend on power, thereby contributing positively to the academic development of the pupils.
Mrs. Yemisi also expressed appreciation to Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, for ensuring that the Omigo Community Development Association (CDA) benefitted from the ongoing rural electrification initiative of the Lagos State Government.
She described the intervention as a timely and impactful development for the community, adding that the initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and living standards in rural communities across Lagos State.
