The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the commissioning of three major infrastructure projects in Lagos, describing them as transformative developments that will significantly improve the quality of life for residents.

The projects—commissioned on behalf of the President by Senate President Godswill Akpabio—include the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) Building, and the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex.

Speaking during the ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the projects represent a deliberate effort by his administration to address pressing urban challenges through practical and people-focused solutions.

According to the governor, the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge marks a major milestone in improving mobility across the state.

He noted that the corridor has long been one of the most congested and challenging routes within the city’s transport network, causing delays and daily stress for commuters.

“With this new connection, we are easing congestion, reducing travel time, and making daily movement more efficient for thousands of Lagosians,” Sanwo-Olu stated.

On land administration, the governor highlighted the significance of the Lagos Geographic Information Service Building, describing it as a critical step toward modernizing government operations.

He explained that the facility will eliminate reliance on outdated paper-based systems, enhance transparency, and improve efficiency in land documentation and management.

Sanwo-Olu further pointed to the strategic importance of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex, noting that the facility will bring multiple government services under one roof.

This, he said, will strengthen inter-agency collaboration, accelerate service delivery, and provide a more conducive working environment for public servants.

“These projects reflect how we approach governance. We focus on solving real problems and delivering practical solutions. What matters most is results that people can see and feel,” the governor added.

He expressed appreciation to all stakeholders involved in the successful execution of the projects, including engineers, contractors, and public servants, commending their dedication and commitment from inception to completion.

While celebrating the achievements, Sanwo-Olu reiterated that the state government remains committed to sustaining momentum in infrastructure development and public service reform.

“There is still more to do, and we are not slowing down. We will continue building and working to improve the quality of life for every Lagosian,” he assured.

The governor also acknowledged the support of President Tinubu, attributing the progress recorded in Lagos to the President’s leadership and ongoing reforms, which he said continue to yield positive impact across Nigeria.
