
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustained development and impactful governance as it enters its final phase, with just over 400 days remaining in office.
In a reflective statement at the commissioning of the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge today, the governor disclosed that his administration has utilized more than 2,500 days out of the 2,922-day mandate entrusted to it by Lagos residents, emphasizing a consistent focus on improving the state’s socio-economic landscape.
Sanwo-Olu noted that his government remains determined to make every remaining day count, stressing that the administration’s policies and projects have been driven by a vision to leave Lagos better than it was met.
He acknowledged the influence of past leadership in shaping the state’s growth trajectory, highlighting that his administration has drawn inspiration from a former governor whose foundational work continues to guide ongoing development efforts.
The governor also expressed pride in the achievements recorded so far, attributing part of the success to the support and leadership of Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He commended the President’s reforms, noting that they have had a positive impact not only in Lagos but across the country.
Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to consolidate on its gains and sustain progress across critical sectors as it approaches the end of its tenure.
