The atmosphere of Admos Hotel and Suites was thrown into full blown celebration mood on Saturday, 27th of February, as Lions, Leos from different region, distinguished personalities, families and friends trooped out to celebrate with Leo Ogunmokun Adedamola Anthony, the Charter President of Ikorodu Golden Leo Club, Imota, other charter executives and newly installed Leo members.
The guest speaker of the day, Comrade Michael Stephen Okereke in his speech during the historic event described the current national unrest bedeviling the country as the product of selfishness, and greediness that culminated into poverty and unhealthy living and hence, the national unrest.
He called on the youths and everyone to embrace service to humanity as it could serve as the panacea to the national unrest.
The program continues with the decoration of Leo Ogunmokun Adedamola Anthony as the charter president of Ikorodu Golden Leo Club, Imota alongside other charter executive members, amongst which are; Leo Benson Ezekiel, Vice President 1; Leo Oshikoya Hamdallah, Vice President 2; Leo Akinsanya
Yetunde, Club Secretary; Leo Oyebanjo Mopelola, Club Treasurer 1; Leo Odewoye Odunayo, Treasurer 2; Leo Anibaba Dolapo, Club Project Director; Leo Bakare Sodiq, Director Of Membership; Leo Badejo Adetutu, Welfare Director; Leo Akinyemi Yewande, Tail Twister; and Leo Shofowora Ibunkun, the club tamer. Also installed alongside the executives were 25 members of the club as chartered club members.
The installation event started on Friday, 26th of February with a smile to charity project, where Leo Ogunmokun Adedamola Anthony led other members to Saint Johns Primary School and L.G Primary School, Imota to donate 25 school uniforms to indigent pupils of the schools.
According to Leo Adedamola, this effort is directed towards achieving the SDG-4 of the sustainable development goal, and also to put smiles on the pupils faces and encourage them to continue in their pursuit of knowledge.
Speaking with Leo Ogunmokun Adedamola Anthony, he was very elated and he expressed his appreciation to his sponsoring lions, the chairman of the day, the district president, his loving mother, members of Leo club far and near, guests, friends and other well wishers for honouring their invitation and making the day more glamorous.
