img 20220410 wa00231137322634315133809 As the Nationwide league one migrates into the second round of it's competitive season, TCCG FC popularly known as Majemu boys banged Collins Edwin sports club also referred to as 'The Gladiators' by 2 goals to 1 on the 16th of May 2022.
The game which was played at the strong tower pitch in Ikorodu, kicked off at 3:05 pm with Collins Edwin FC taking the lead 15 minutes into the game.
But TCCG FC bounced back into the competition with a penalty kick against Collins Edwin FC, which was converted into a goal by TCCG FC equalising the contest.
With 60 to 40 ball possession in favour of TCCG FC in the 2nd half, Majemu boys were able to score a second goal through Anu (former Ikorodu City striker), given TCCG FC the lead to secure the game successfully.
Presently sitting in the middle of the table due to a 3rd contest loss to Madiba FC at Nitel Playing Ground in Oshodi on the 8th of May 2022, TCCG FC is pumping no brakes heading into the 2nd round of the tournament. According to Bishop Festus Otusanya (Founder), the squad will be fiddling with two friendly matches in practice for the next phase of the Nationwide league one.
Bishop Festus continued, "We're grateful to God for this victory against Collins Edwin FC, a club known with a lot of experience across different National leagues. But with that said, we'll not be taken a nap prior to the 2nd round of this competition, aquatting in the middle of the table means we have a lot of work to do" "The slated friendly games are to maintain our players in check and competent as they return for the second round of the league, it means we're starting preparation from either on Tuesday or Wednesday this same week"
"We've seen our strengths and weaknesses, we're leaving no stone unturned, specialising on the bond of our players and etching them with the willpower to always be victorious" Coach Rabiu Abdulmalin of TCCG FC has performed a lot for the club in improving our style of play, and am convinced that if our players can simply work together as a team based on the scriptural foundation to which the club was built upon, they will end up winning the league, am sure of that because according to our slogan, 'Na God Dey Run Am" Bishop Festus Otusanya asserted

VIDEO: TCCG FC CONTINUES TO DECRY MAY 1ST HOME GAME DEFEAT, NLO OFFICIALS ACKNOWLEDGE FAULT AFTER WATCHING CLIP ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

u876567ggy7E27640719714588095857. Amidst continual grievances accrued from the awful officiating observed between TCCG FC versus Sapphire FC on the 1st of May 2022, the management of TCCG FC has heightened their criticism with an explicit video to substantiate their claim.
The video clip forwarded to the headquarters of the Nationwide league one for further investigation showed how the referee mishandled the 2nd half of the game which eventually saw the visiting team defeating TCCG FC by 2 goals to 1 at the Strong Tower pitch. Seeing nothing visible to warrant the penalty play that decided the game, Bishop Festus Otunsanya (founder, TCCG FC), dispatched the video across to NLO executives to which he has since gotten a reply.
According to the youngest Bishop, His squad has been begged to remain patient for the administration to deliver an arbiter for the unfair treatment.
He also added that the executive has called out the referee's unprofessional blunder which will warrant an immediate suspension eventually.
Bishop Otunsanya continued, "Mr Sola (NLO's DG) watched the video and agreed with us that the play never merited any penalty shootout as was called by the umpire, acknowledging that the referee made a serious mistake"
"Subsequently, Mr Sola averred that the league is trying its utmost best to ensure that errors of such magnitude are avoided to safeguard the reputation of the league"
However, the Bishop further called on football Administrators, Managers, Coaches and lovers of the sport to pay close attention to all the inadequacies happening to the game in Nigeria.
"Bribery and corruption has eaten deep into the fabric of our football system, we are bored of spending money to get good players, employing capable coaches, spending huge amount of money to improve the standard of our football team, while few people come in to decide the outcome of the matches after been bribed and manipulated"
"This video is a good example of what we're facing during games, even when the line-man raised his flag for a goal kick, the referee still blew the whistle for a penalty against the Home team (TCCG FC)"
"Such acts of misconduct should not be tolerated because this is not the kind of football system we are praying to engage our strength and finances on" Bishop Otunsanya concluded
