LAGOS DISTRIBUTES 100 VEHICLES TO SUBSTANTIVE DIRECTORS ON GL 17 THROUGH E-BALLOT ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

383jenenn8962269018868544818 The Lagos State Government on Thursday, 26th of January 2023, distributed 100 vehicles to Substantive Directors on Grade Level 17, in the Lagos State Public Service through an e-ballot system at an event held at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Alausa-Ikeja.
In his address, the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola congratulated the winners, some of whom participated virtually, noting that the cars are not gifts but what has been earned as work tools. He added that 40 vehicles were allocated to Director on GL 17 in the Teaching Sector, and others were allocated to the Health and Mainstream sectors.
He commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy as the initiator, revealing that Mr Governor has also promised that the State Government will continue to hold the initiative periodically based on the availability of funds.
Muri-Okunola, therefore, urged all Directors that did not win this time around, not to despair but hope that it will be their turn to celebrate when next the initiative would be repeated.
His words, "Let me, first of all, congratulate the winners today, however, I must also reiterate that you should rededicate yourselves to duty because to whom much is given, much is expected. For those who did not win today. You must take heart and hope that it would be your turn next time as the State Government intends to hold the event periodically as well as expand its scope based on the availability of funds”.
The Head of Service averred that the choice of the use of e-ballot was to give every substantive Director equal opportunity in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration.
Permanent Secretary, Mrs Sunkanmi Oyegbola stated that the process streamed live on Twitter and Facebook was transparent, adding that winners would be verified to ensure eligibility.
In his remarks, the Chairman, of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Lagos State Branch, Comrade Olusegun Balogun, commended the State Government for the initiative, noting that the initiative was a landmark achievement by the present administration led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Some of the winners were so thankful and excited for the unexpected gesture of the State Government. They equally commended the e-ballot method of distribution.
Meanwhile, three Medical Doctors from General Hospital Ikorodu were among the winners in the e-ballot.
The winners are the Deputy Medical Director, Dr Olufemi Aletan, Dr Gbadebo-Alake Olakunle, and Dr Jamiu Isiaka Olaiwola.
They've since conveyed appreciation to the Lagos State Government and the Governor, His Excellency, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the bountiful brand-new package of official cars.

fb img 16745683669725187377891237584636 President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday commended Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the State Government revolution in the agriculture sector, especially in rice production.
The President told Governor Sanwo-Olu in a simple sentence "You are doing Well." President Buhari spoke during the inauguration of the Lagos Rice Mill in Imota, the largest rice mill in Sub-Saharan Africa and the fourth largest in the world. The President who toured the facility saw the rice pyramid and also watched the last part of the bagging process, which is the sealing, said he was impressed by what he saw at the Lagos Rice Mill, Imota.
President Buhari was taken round the factory and warehouse, where the rice production is being carried out by Governor Sanwo-Olu, Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Abisola Olusanya; Special Adviser to the Governor on Rice Mill Initiative, Dr Oluwarotimi Fashola and some members of the State Executive Council and traditional rulers.
Speaking during the tour of the facility, Governor Sanwo-Olu said Eko Rice, which is proudly Nigeria, is the best in town.
"Mr President, this is the result of your rice revolution. This rice is called Eko Rice, proudly Nigeria. It is the best in town now," he said.
Governor Sanwo-Olu while addressing people after the inauguration of the Lagos Rice Mill by President Buhari, said Lagos is ready to support the rice revolution and food revolution in Nigeria.
He said: "The President is delighted to be here to commission the largest rice mill in entire sub-Saharan Africa and one of the largest in the world, the Lagos Rice Mill in Imota.
"It is being done because of the agricultural revolution of Mr President, who when he started his government, said Nigerians should grow what they eat and they should eat what they grow. "We are happy that Lagos is a testament to that. With 2.8 million bags of 50kg rice per annum, Lagos is ready to support the rice revolution and the food revolution in Nigeria.
"The Lagos Rice Mill will create close to 250,000 direct and indirect jobs. We want to thank the local community of Imota, Ikorodu. We want to thank all of you that have waited patiently. Mr President is indeed excited that you have birthed another first in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.”

IJEDE LCDA UNIFIED YOUTH FORUM MARKS 4TH ANNIVERSARY, UNVEILS NEW LOGO ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

393j3j3mm3mm3187477142186915261 Shaped four years ago, the Ijede LCDA Unified youth forum is a registered pressure group, aimed at thrusting the government and institutions to enhance the growth standard of the region it dwells in.
Deemed the largest and only pressure group in Ijede LCDA, the group marked its 4th anniversary on the 14th of January 2023 at the prestigious Golden Heaven event centre, playing host to special dignitaries across the province.
With High Chief Aliu Kayode Musediq, Regent of Ijede kingdom, High Chief Aliu Babatunde Ogunmuyiwa, Odofin Alajede of Ijede, High Chief Bello Shakirudeen Adetona, Otunba of Egbin kingdom and Chief Olanrewaju Kuye, Otunba of Emiren kingdom as special guests, the ceremony was notable in bestowing voice to the youths in the land of cool breeze and aquatic splendour.
Formerly known as the Ijede-Egbin youth forum, the group is now named the Ijede LCDA Unified Youth Forum, consisting of an elders' advisory body and also an executive assemblage headed by Prince Olumide Musediq.
Chairman of the occasion, Prince Ademola Olutusin, lauded the group in his short footnotes, recounting their commitment to guaranteeing the community enjoys a sufficient power supply.
He further motivated them to remain trustworthy in their pursuit to upgrade the standard of living in the community.
According to Prince Ademola, "This denomination has been a significant tool for a favourable modification in Ijede LCDA, and I crave youths around this region to key into their tenacity and unified strength".
Furthermore, He pleaded with the present administration under the governorship of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu to look towards fixing Ijede major road after the actualisation of the Agura-gberigbe thoroughfare which is currently under construction.
Prince Adebowale Afinah Sodiq, Guest speaker for the event, in his words instructed the group to maintain their core objective, which is to live in the void on behalf of the community to commend performing governance and criticise policies for poor tasks as well.
In his statements, "Pressure group is an integral part of the developmental phase of every community.
"Pressure groups don't infer they are against the government, they're a set of individuals who channel the right and adequate information at the grassroots level towards the government, to aid in propagating their policies".
"They epitomize the freedom of speech, which is reflected in the activities of the Unified Ijede-Egbin Youth Forum" Prince Sodiq expanded.
Speaking on the effort of the group further, Prince Sodiq, a Senior Assistant Registrar at the Lagos State University (LASU), stated that Ijede LCDA, been the host community to Egbin Power Plant, for a while had endured power outages, but right to the activeness of the Ijede-Egbin youth forum, the community is currently enjoying good power supply.
Speaking with Ikorodu News Network (INN) post-event, Prince Olumide Musediq explained that the group aims to emancipate the youths and give them a voice. According to Olumide, "We involve in all developmental projects, and we've built satisfactory synergy with the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba and also the legislative arm of the council".
He continued, "As a pressure group, we have organised many projects like political symposiums to enlighten our people on their right to vote. Also, we've organised healthy peaceful protests and press conferences".
"We are the reason behind the uninterrupted supply in Ijede LCDA and its environs, and also we've partnered with all security agencies to ensure Ijede LCDA is a peaceful crime-free society".
Olumide finalised by elucidating that its members have been empowered and committed in numerous areas to keep them playing responsible roles for the good of the community.
At the high point of the occasion, Alhaji Bashiru Saminu, Alhaji Olanrewaju Tiamiyu, Alhaji Wasiu Agoro and Alhaji Wahab Bello were recognised with special service and support Awards.
The group subsequently unveiled its new unifying logo which received a standing ovation from guests and members present.
Prince Dehinde Thomas, father of the occasion, Alhaji Abdulfatai Oriyomi Lawal (Great Hunter), Apostle Peter kolawole, CAN chairman Ijede LCDA, and Alhaji Fola Salu was also in attendance.
