2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS: POLICE CONCLUDE TRAINING OF MOBILE COMMANDERS ON ELECTION SECURITY MANAGEMENT ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has tasked Police Mobile Force (PMF) Commanders to teach their men to be professional, firm and decisive while deployed for the 2023 General Elections security management. The IGP gave the charge during the closing ceremony of a two-week combat training/seminar for heads of Police Mobile Force Squadrons and formations nationwide which was held at the Police Mobile Force Training College, Ila-Orangun, Osun State on Monday 23rd January 2023.
The IGP is represented by the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the PMF, AIG Ali . A Janga psc, mni, emphasized the need to be apolitical and professional in their conduct and to exhibit all forms of humility and humanity while shunning corruption and all forms of illegality.
The IGP appreciated the host Commandant, PMF Training College, Ila Orangun, ACP Wilson Dankwano, PMF staff officers, and other resource persons for a wonderful training experience that afforded all the participants othe opportunity to deepen their knowledge through experience sharing and contemporary instruction.
The Inspector-General of Police has therefore assured that the Police, as the lead agency, and coordinating arrowhead for election security management in the country, is unrelenting in ensuring that its officers are adequately prepared and ready for a secured and peaceful electoral process to bequeath to Nigerians free, fair, credible, and acceptable elections in 2023.

LAGOS DISTRIBUTES 100 VEHICLES TO SUBSTANTIVE DIRECTORS ON GL 17 THROUGH E-BALLOT ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

383jenenn8962269018868544818 The Lagos State Government on Thursday, 26th of January 2023, distributed 100 vehicles to Substantive Directors on Grade Level 17, in the Lagos State Public Service through an e-ballot system at an event held at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Alausa-Ikeja.
In his address, the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola congratulated the winners, some of whom participated virtually, noting that the cars are not gifts but what has been earned as work tools. He added that 40 vehicles were allocated to Director on GL 17 in the Teaching Sector, and others were allocated to the Health and Mainstream sectors.
He commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy as the initiator, revealing that Mr Governor has also promised that the State Government will continue to hold the initiative periodically based on the availability of funds.
Muri-Okunola, therefore, urged all Directors that did not win this time around, not to despair but hope that it will be their turn to celebrate when next the initiative would be repeated.
His words, "Let me, first of all, congratulate the winners today, however, I must also reiterate that you should rededicate yourselves to duty because to whom much is given, much is expected. For those who did not win today. You must take heart and hope that it would be your turn next time as the State Government intends to hold the event periodically as well as expand its scope based on the availability of funds”.
The Head of Service averred that the choice of the use of e-ballot was to give every substantive Director equal opportunity in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration.
Permanent Secretary, Mrs Sunkanmi Oyegbola stated that the process streamed live on Twitter and Facebook was transparent, adding that winners would be verified to ensure eligibility.
In his remarks, the Chairman, of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Lagos State Branch, Comrade Olusegun Balogun, commended the State Government for the initiative, noting that the initiative was a landmark achievement by the present administration led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Some of the winners were so thankful and excited for the unexpected gesture of the State Government. They equally commended the e-ballot method of distribution.
Meanwhile, three Medical Doctors from General Hospital Ikorodu were among the winners in the e-ballot.
The winners are the Deputy Medical Director, Dr Olufemi Aletan, Dr Gbadebo-Alake Olakunle, and Dr Jamiu Isiaka Olaiwola.
They've since conveyed appreciation to the Lagos State Government and the Governor, His Excellency, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the bountiful brand-new package of official cars.
