IGBOGBO DAY CELEBRATION DETAILS 34TH EDITION’S AGENDA, UNVEILS ANKARA ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

777y6bbb820265729995234247 The organising committee of Igbogbo Day Celebration officially intimated to members of the public, plans to execute its annual carnival spectacle.
Billed to kick-off this November, the committee presented their agendas in a press conference which took place at the pavilion hall in the palace of the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom on the 12th of November 2022.
Propelled to stimulate unity and community development and cultural heritage, this year's edition themed Ogo Tuntun (in Yoruba) meaning 'New Glory' in English, is the 34th anniversary of the historic festival which was inaugurated in 1988.
Former Secretary to the Lagos state government and GAC member, Funmi Basorun made his presence felt, bestowing significant leverage on the interactive forum.
Mr Titilope Andu-Balogun, Chairman, of the planning committee, in his opening speech, expressed that the event is set to gaze at ongoing projects across the LCDA and appreciate subjects responsible for making such developmental undertakings a reality.
He continued, "This celebration will also be used as an open channel to recognise indigenes who are out of the country, but has plans to join our neighbourhood growth agendas".
He noted that the committee is not circumventing schemes to cater for students who are trying to further their education.
"Not forgetting the laudable assistance rendered by our outstanding Senator Tokunbo Abiru, a recipient of the 33rd edition, this year we're poised to recognise Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Hon. Babajimi Benson MHR, for his support towards the development of Igbogbo land" Mr Balogun added.
According to the organisers, the celebration will also be wielded to mark the 6th coronation anniversary of HRM, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom.
Associating the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, the organiser further affirmed conducting the 2022 security summit/ JTF meeting, in partnership with the Chairman of the council.
Sulaiman Ayodele, another committee member asserted that, not only the youths will be involved in the celebration, but they'll also be orientated via the program to become better role models in the soil.
In the Q&A session, Elder statesman, Funmi Basorun took attendees down memory lane on the inception of the annual celebration, explaining the role of Igbogbo day celebration in community development.
"Ever since the start of this festival, we cannot begin to recount how it has been employed as a catalyst to foster development in this land".
"Renovation of the palace was once embarked on by this initiative, even the Pavilion we're seated in today is also part of the benefit of this celebration".
With questions raised on structuring a Town hall for the LCDA, which was the objective of its prior 33rd edition, Funmi Basorun explained that plans are still in place to actualise it, expanding that the King, leaders & stakeholders are working tight-lipped on it.
"While we're looking at unique ways this festivity is key to improve the community, we should also have it in our minds that the beautiful thing about this extravaganza is to bring both inhabitants and non-indigenes together" Basorun concluded
Mr Idris Adesina, Secretary of the planning committee, detailed the weekly program which includes; Prostrate Cancer Screening which is sponsored by Bldr Sesan Daini, Iwure/Jum'at & Public service day, Walkout with Adeboruwa/Igbogbo Day mega carnival & Elders Night with Adeboruwa, Induction into Igbogbo Hall Of Fame/Luncheon & Presentation of Awards of Excellence.

NOLLYWOOD VETERAN PETER FATOMILOLA LAUDS ADESINA AS IKORODU LG COUNCIL BOSS BAGS MOST OUTSTANDING OODUA LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN OF THE YEAR 2022 ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

788866hhhhhhh6737193497411041507 The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina has won the Most Outstanding Oodua Local Government Council Chairman Award of the year 2022.
Adesina who had earlier attained Icon of Local Government administration status is largely deemed the best council boss in recent times among the 57 council chairmen; 20 local government and 37 local council development areas, LCDAs, in Lagos state founded on his extraordinary feat since returning to the office.
Conferred with an Integrity Award by the Centre For Ethics And Self-Value Orientation of Nigeria in march of this year, Adesina yet again received delegates from the Yoruba Heritage Leadership Award Platform at his council secretariat on the 4th of November 2022.
Led by Veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Peter Fatomilola, who appraised the council Chairman of Ikorodu as a development catalyst, instrumental in the consistent growth of the waterbed region, now considered the 12th largest city in Africa and 3rd largest in Nigeria.
According to Chief Fatomilola in a post-award presentation interview with Ikorodu News Network (INN), he noted that most times when a leader is preoccupied with discharging his duties for the betterment of the community, he pays less attention to onlookers. Asserting that the achievement of Adesina is visible for all to see, Chief Fatomilola pointed out that the recognition is meant to acknowledge the chairman for his efforts and also to encourage him to do more for the good people of Ikorodu local government.
"If he was not performing well, we would have also told him so because we're unbiased in check-mating our leaders". "We're recognising him today so he should keep doing good" Chief Fatomilola added
Ayodele Asiwaju Temidayo, Coordinator of the Yoruba heritage leadership award platform, explained further in complimenting chief Fatomilola's acumen of the council boss.
He proceeded, "Hon. Wasiu Adesina is a chairman who functions with the interest of his people at heart. We've been to this council two months before today and without a doubt, we've been able to access his activities and undertakings, which made him a competent recipient of this prestigious award".
"We've also caught a glimpse of him as a gentleman and a great leader, always ready to live up to every expectation and for that reason, we're very proud of him".
Asiwaju Temidayo recounted that the award presented to Hon. Wasiu Adesina was similarly presented to Hon. Kolade Alabi before he became chairman of the Association of Local Governments Of Nigeria (ALGON). "It is an indication of bigger victories appearing ahead for Adesina, which he has to prepare for. We believe in his capacity and wish him better things going forward" He asserted The council boss, in a state of amusement and enthusiasm, thanked the forum for recognising his administration towards the advancement of Ikorodu local government. In his words, "This award is simply an encouragement for me to do more in heightening the standard of the good people in Ikorodu and I'll continue to fulfil all our promises". "I thank God, I thank my family and I thank all my council executive and legislative arms for their continuous exertions to attain our set goals and objectives". Among the delegates from the Yoruba heritage leadership award platform present were; Mrs Adepoju Ajayi and Obanubi Aderemi Ayodele. Vice-chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Aarebirin Hon.
