As the shocking news hits home on the passing of legendary Nigerian singer, producer, Music Video Director, instrumentalist and writer Lanre Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan due to cancer at the age of 44.

The late singer created his own unique style of delivery with a blend of afro and groove kick starting his career in early 2000’s with the likes of plantation bois, remedies, and his brother also known as Baba Dee.
With songs like ‘Motherland’, Jagbanjantis, Koleyewon, Bushmeat (Ole) and many others, the singer is notably identified as a creative thinker, with his songs creating platforms to combat bad governance, shine more light on people living in obscurity and promoting the ‘Proudly Nigerian’ Slogan.
He was signed to Kennis Music early in his career and collaborated with the likes of Tuface and other artists.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
