Ms. OLUSANYA FACILITATES AGRIPRENUERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR IKORODU DIVISION YOUTHS

The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Agriculture, Ms Abisola Olusanya facilitates provisional admission of two youths through Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative Movement into the Lagos Agripreneurship Training Programme.

The Beneficiaries

The Lagos Agripreneurship programme is an initiative of Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Agriculture. The training is slated to last for one month and organized with the aim of training and empowering youths across the state.

The Media and Publicity Directorate of Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative Movement gathered that the programme had started on Sunday 16th of February, 2020 at Lagos State Agricultural Training Institute, Araga-Epe, Lagos with 200 applicants in attendance.

The two youths that were offered provisional admission to be part of the participants in the Lagos State Agriculture-Based Youth Empowerment Scheme (AGRIC-YES) after performing successful in the aptitude test and series of interview are Mr. Mabunmi Olutayo Taiwo and Mr. Williams Ibrahim respectively.

It was also gathered that all the participants would be entitled to feeding, accommodation and a stipend of N5,000, and after the training, they would also be assisted in accessing finance from credible institutions and organizations.

In an interview with the Executive Director of the movement, Comrade Bisiriyu, he congratulates the participants from Ikorodu division and appreciates the kind gesture of the Special Adviser to the governor on agriculture for showing interest in sponsoring youths across the division.

In his words, “I want to use this medium to appreciate our own progressive ambassador, the special adviser to Lagos State Government on Agriculture for supporting youths in the Division, and I am very happy for the two Ikorodu Division youths that are privileged to be part of the participants in the ongoing Lagos State Government Agriculture-Based Youth Empowerment Scheme (AGRIC-YES)”.

“I believed that the training will go a long way to adding more values to their lives, reduce unemployment across the state at large” He added.

He concluded by advising the participants to be good ambassadors of the division and utilize all the skills that they would learn in the course of the training judiciously.
