The meeting was held at the same venue as the first with coordinators & members from all 5 wards present to advance the forum’s agenda.

It kicked off with opening prayer and preceded with the general secretary reading the last minute to the members of the house with new ones included.
After the minutes all coordinators introduced themselves to the floor.

Honourable Olajumoke Modupe Fakoya (Coordinator IBILE EKO FORUM IKORODU CHAPTER) re-explained to the house what IBILE EKO FORUM is all about, it’s objectives and goals.

She stated that the forum is not only for lagosians, but for all residents both indigenes and non indigenes alike.
“Hon. Abdulaziz Babajide Adediron who is the founder of Jandor Foundation is one of the main pushers of IBILE EKO FORUM. With reasons to empower every individual for a positive standard of living”, She added. Just as the executives took time out to address the official flag-off of the forum last week on Bond FM 92.5 in Lagos, Hon Fakoya stated that IBILE EKO FORUM Is a unifying platform for all inhabitants of Lagos state as she urged every members to solidly stand behind the Ikorodu Chapter of the forum to make it strong and give it a unifying voice like never before seen.

After her brief she opened the floor for all to ask questions for clearer understanding.
A question was asked concerning the structure of the leadership and immediately Hon Fakoya listed the following positions of executives present in the forum:
Coordinator, assistant coordinator, general secretary, Youth leader, human leader, publicity secretary, Organising secretary & Treasurer are the main structure of the forum in Ikorodu.

“Leadership in the various LCDA’s will be created through the excos and it’s only open to individuals who are ready to perform regardless of their status”, She said “for reasons of competency not all post will be occupied as more members are still coming to join the forum”.

A member Alhaji Lateef insisted that the platform must be legally binding for it not to be hijacked by the island movement and he insisted that the movement must support women more because the men has sofar failed the system.

Another member from the ‘Women In Politics Movement’ Deaconess Victoria Amoniloju urged Hon. Fakoya not to relent on her strife to include women in politics and she thanked her for accepting to take the wheels of the forum in Ikorodu. She added that it is time for women to take up the challenge and live up to expectations in politics, later advising the forum’s leadership to keep to time when arranging meetings in order to gain the trust of it’s committed members.
With light to all questions asked Hon Fakoya urged the members to keep their eyes on the goal, “This forum is not for bias agendas and favoritism, It is for people who can deliver on the line of duty”.

The reason we have shifted the inauguration date from 26th of March to April 2nd 2020 is because we need the pioneer leader Hon. Abdulaziz Babajide Adediron to be available on that day. That is why we have also added the need for members to get our Ankara to make the occasion colourful”, said Hon Fakoya.

At the end of the meeting, An Organising and planning committee for the official inauguration of IBILE EKO FORUM IKORODU CHAPTER 2020 was put in place which is made up of members from the different LCDA’s in Ikorodu to hasten up the preparation process.
