In a bid to reduce the community spread of the CoVid-19 Pandemic in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Hon Oluwatosin Onamade supported both traders and market women alike in IJEDE Market-Egbin with More than 200 fibre nose masks.
The act which took the traders by surprise was received with utmost excitement and gratitude as it came at a time when it was most significant in the community.
“You must begin to learn how to adapt to this new form of trading for the sake of your life, your health and your family” said Hon Onamade.
“I am not giving this fibre nose mask for the sake of decoration or to seek unnecessary attention, It must be on record that we are all playing our part to prevent the community spread of the Coronavirus pandemic which at this time is going rampant in Lagos State & Nigeria. I want to beg everyone of you to practice the constant use of the nose mask at all times in order to stay protected” Hon Onamade added.
Some of the traders thanked Hon Oluwatosin Onamade for his kind hearted moves and pleaded with him to continuously put the interest of the good people of Ijede LCDA at heart.
One of the market women initially refused the nose mask claiming that she never received any food Relief Package for her struggling family, She bitterly complained about her dissatisfaction with the state of things happening in the community, but was calmed when Hon Onamade assured her that the fibre nose mask was from his personal arrangements. He later surprised the trader with a relief package and advice the market women not to live in anger and hopelessness. He urged them to believe God and manage whatever they earn at this trying times.
“Though we cannot satisfy every one but we shall try our best to get across to as many people as we can in our community” Said Hon Oluwatosin Onamade as he later presented a dozen of the fibre nose mask to Mr Jamiu Agbaje, Temidire CDA Chairman

“We really appreciate what Hon Onamade is currently doing for our communities, He has made it necessary that no matter how little, what is been shared should get across our communities equally and we really appreciate all his efforts at this time of crisis in our Nation” Said Mr Jamiu Agbaje. “I am urging every Stakeholders to now branch into supporting indigenes and non indigenes alike with this nose mask, even to the Institutions and what have you, Let’s us begin to join force with the government to mask up Lagos State and win the fight against CoVid-19 Pandemic from our Nation. And for our Lagosians We should now begin to take personal responsibilities in order to win this war and with the help of God we shall conquer” Hon Onamade added.
