Ikorodu Pioneer Virtual Lions Club on the 19th day of July held its first retreat. The retreat which was tagged “MAXIMUM RELIEF” was held virtually as purposed by the Club.
Also in the spirit of Lionism, the purpose of the retreat is to ensure that the club achieves maximum result in this Lions year and to ensure members are on the same page by deliberating on the year’s budget.
The clubs Charter President, Lion Princess Adebukolah Adefolayiga during her welcome address started by appreciating all members for the success the club has recorded within it’s short time of Charter.
She however urged members not to relent in their efforts and strength to uplift the club.
Before sharing the club standing committee list, she used the same opportunity of officially announcing the result of the clubs election and enjoins all committee chairpersons to work hand in hand with committee members.
While sharing the budget and activity calender for the Lions year, she reiterated the need for the club to continuously aim at relieving hunger and making great impacts in our immediate communities after which she observed even though there won’t be a physical investiture/fund raising ceremony this year, she solicited for members support in her efforts to raise funds for the club.
The clubs Membership Director, Lion Adeola Rotinwa left nothing untouched during the clubs officers training, she encouraged members to intensify efforts and not fail to seek support whenever a doubt arises as to how to carry out their responsibilities.
The region chairperson, Lion Seyi Olokode wrapped it up with a very detailed and distinctive training on Club Quality Initiative CQI.
She reiterate the need for team work and power of SMART goals.
The attendance at the virtual retreat was laudable.
