IMOTA STUDENT’S UNION SET TO ORGANIZE ISU WEEK 2020 IN GRAND STYLE ~ INN Nigeria
2 min readI.S.U week is the biggest and the most popular programme of Imota Student’s Union and the resultant effect remains conspicuous in the lives of the students, youths and the community at large.
According to the President of Imota Student’s Union, Comrade Owoyele Luqman Oladapo, ISU Week is the biggest of the programme of the union, and it used to run for 7days with different programmes.
However, The programme may be taking a new shape this year due to the effect of the pandemic which had tampered with the normalcies.
The Chairman of the organizing committee for I.S.U Week 2020, Comrade Adebogun Oriyomi Modupe gives a vivid and succinct report about this year’s edition of ISU Week.
“ISU Week 2020 will commence on the 16th of November and ends on the 21st of November 2020. However, in consideration of the effect of the pandemic, we have to reduce ISU Week 2020 to a 4-day programme against the normal. He stated.
Speaking on the theme for ISU Week 2020, the chairman said, ” the ISU Week 2020 will be centred on the theme ‘… connecting the dots’ and in this, we intend to employ Education, Practical Agricultural Practices as an antidote to Social Vices.”
ISU Week 2020 will feature a programme like; Free Medical Checkup & Enlightenment Exercise, Jamb Form Scholarship Aptitude Test, Talent Hunt: Art & Science Exhibition and Youth Educational Symposium (YES 2020) as the grand finale of ISU Week 2020 on the 16th, 17th, 18th and 21st of November, 2020 respectively, where we shall be x-raying how to connect the dots.
In a conclusive note, the President of Imota Student’s Union and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee commended the effort of the union’s usual sponsors, and also seized the opportunity to call for more sponsorship and partnership from individuals and corporate organizations within and outside the community.
“We want to sincerely appreciate all our sponsors for their ceaseless support thus far, and we implore them for more. Also, we want to call on both individuals and corporate organizations within and outside the community to support and partner with us so that together we can make a lasting impact on the students, and youths population within the community.”
