NIGERIA became independent from Britain on October 1, 1960. And the date has remained an emotionally memorable one for Nigerians.
Diamond Jubilee celebration… “TOGETHER”
Celebrating sixty years of independence really calls for pomp and pageantry, But the global COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced all nations in the world to think and act differently, has also foisted on us the imperative of a low covid-19.
TOGETHER shall be the theme of our Nation’s Sixtieth Anniversary Celebration. Our founding fathers, In spite of the differences in faith, tribe and tongue came TOGETHER to fight for Nigeria’s independence. This shall be a befitting tribute to the struggles of our heroes past.
Though the freedom doesn’t come so easily, But we are all indebted to our national heroes who made this country what it is today.
As patriotic citizens, let’s put extra effort to perform our own civic rights and responsibilities. Our diversities should not be seen as a weakness but as our strength. It is only by working together that we can build a resilience nation.
Let establish a pride by raising our country’s flag up high. Let peace and harmony follow us everywhere we go. Say no to domestic abuse and violence or any form of bad image in our nation. It is time to make that decision to love and respect our one another. We will never forget all the hustles that brought us here. We will never forget the fights, the wars and the spoil of Independence that made us what we are today.
Let us think of something we can do for our nation to make it a place of wealth, peace, and happy loving nation
Happy Independence Day
